Katy Tur

 

Katherine Bear Tur (born October 26th, 1983) is an American writer and journalist for the broadcast media working as a reporter for NBC News. Tur is an anchor on MSNBC Reports. She hosts Katy Tur Reports since 2021. She has also covered the NBC news channels Early Today, Today, NBC Nightly News, Meet the Press WNBC-TV, MSNBC and The Weather Channel.



 



 Early life



 Tur is the daughter and grandchild of journalists Zoey Tur, and Marika Gerrard. She graduated from Brentwood School (2001) and University of California Santa Barbara (2005) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy. She is of Jewish heritage.
